GUANGZHOU, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in south China's Guangdong Province served more than 4.09 million passengers in July amid a comeback in air travel, the airport said.

This represents a 31.9 percent increase over June, according to the airport.

Amid the revival in air travel, the airport has seen significant increase in the number of domestic travellers thanks to China's effective measures for epidemic prevention and control.

Business trips and summer vacation travel contributed to the air traffic boost.

The airport has been making efforts to help reopen and step up use of air routes amid recovering air traffic demand.

To enhance the flying experience for passengers, the airport also encourages airlines to use wide-body planes on popular routes. In July, more than one fifth of flight movements at the airport involved wide-body planes. Enditem
