Japanese biological warfare database opens to public

BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- The National Library of China on Wednesday launched a database on Japanese biological warfare.

Built through the collection of warfare-related materials from overseas, the database provides over 10,000 pages of historical data concerning topics such as Japan's research and experiments on bacteriological weapons and Japanese biological warfare in China.

The database was opened to the public free of charge from Wednesday, aiming to display historical facts and evidence and facilitate academic research.

A compilation titled "Documents on Japanese Biological Warfare" was also unveiled by the National Library of China to assist in academic research. Enditem
