RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Brazil has reported 46,935 COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the national count to 3,997,865, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
According to the data released by the ministry, 1,184 more deaths have been reported, bringing the nationwide death toll to 123,780.
Sao Paulo, the most populous and the hardest-hit state in the country, has reported 826,331 cases and 30,673 deaths, followed by Rio de Janeiro, with 228,332 cases and 16,315 deaths. Enditem
