KUNDUZ, Afghanistan, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Three militants were killed and two others were injured as their explosive device went off prematurely in northern Afghanistan's Kunduz province on Friday, a local police official Fazal Ahmad said.
According to the official, five Taliban insurgents were taking a mine to plant on a road in Qarabator area of Ali Abad district at noon but the device exploded accidentally, killing three on the spot and wounding two others.
Taliban militants who are largely relying on suicide and roadside bombings haven't made comment. Enditem
