YANGON, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar reported 92 more new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday morning, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.

The newly confirmed cases brought the number of infection cases of COVID-19 in the country to 1,610 in total.

A total of 166,433 tests were conducted for COVID-19 so far and 7,766 patients are currently under investigation, the ministry's figures said.

According to the ministry's figures, 388 patients have recovered from the disease so far.

Myanmar reported its first two positive cases of COVID-19 on March 23 with eight deaths being reported so far. Enditem
