BEIJING, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Farm produce prices in China saw a slight increase last week, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed on Tuesday.
From Aug. 31 to Sept. 6, the overall price of farm produce rose 0.1 percent on a weekly basis.
The wholesale price of pork eased by 0.2 percent to 47.91 yuan (about 7 U.S. dollars) per kg. The price of beef remained flat, and mutton was down 1.1 percent.
Poultry-related products saw prices drops, with the wholesale price of eggs flat week-on-week.
The average wholesale prices of 30 types of vegetables went up 0.6 percent from a week earlier, the data showed.
Food accounts for about one third of China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation.
