JAKARTA, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 3,307 within one day to 203,342, with the death toll adding by 106 to 8,336, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, 2,242 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 145,200.

The virus has spread to all the country's 34 provinces.

Specifically, within the past 24 hours, Jakarta recorded 1,004 new cases, East Java 370, West Java 288, Central Java 281 and Bali 174.

No more new positive cases were found in Papua province.
