HARBIN, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- The outburst flood waves of Mudan River broke a dam in Yilan County on the outskirts of Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, early Friday morning, after days of typhoon-triggered downpours.
Local authorities had made evacuations in advance of the flooding danger. Residents in two nearby villages had been relocated to safe places. No casualties have been reported.
The breach on the dam is about 80 meters long. Enditem
