SOFIA, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria has hit 18,061 after 143 new infections were reported in the last 24 hours, official figures showed on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, nine patients have died, bringing the nationwide toll to 729, while the number of recoveries from COVID-19 rose by 163 to 12,930, the health ministry said.
The ministry also said that 730 patients are hospitalized, with 49 in intensive care.
The number of infected medical workers has reached 1,009, it added.
