CAIRO, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Secretary-General of Cairo-based Arab League Ahmed Aboul-Gheit and visiting Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan discussed on Tuesday the latest developments in the Middle East and North Africa during a meeting in the Egyptian capital.
"The two sides voiced concerns over the ongoing provocative actions in the region that aim at undermining stability and security," the Arab League said in a statement.
They highlighted the need for mobilizing joint efforts by the international community to maintain and strengthen regional peace and stability, it added.
On the Palestinian cause, the two officials described the two-state solution, ending the Israeli occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state as the main factors for reaching peace between Israel and Palestine. Enditem
