BOGOTA, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Colombia registered 7,787 new COVID-19 cases and 190 more deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing its national caseload to 736,377 and death toll to 23,478, the country's health ministry said Wednesday.

Meanwhile, a total of 610,078 patients have recovered from the disease so far, said the ministry.

Colombia will resume international flights next week and inbound passengers will be required to provide negative results from COVID-19 tests carried out within a maximum of 96 hours before arrival, Olga Lucia Ramirez, vice minister of infrastructure from the Transport Ministry, said Wednesday.

The country's migration authority said earlier that it will present a newly-designed application so that international travelers can shorten their waiting time to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection during the entry or exit process. Enditem
