Georgia reports 196 new COVID-19 cases

As of Sunday, 1,494 patients have recovered.

TBILISI, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Georgia reported 196 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing its total to 3,502, the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health said.

Of the new cases, 128 were confirmed in the western Adjara region, the center said.

As of Sunday, 1,494 patients have recovered, while 19 others have died, the center added.

Georgia reported its first confirmed case on Feb. 26.
