JAKARTA, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 4,071 within one day to 252,923, with the death toll adding by 160 to 9,837, the health ministry said on Tuesday.
According to the ministry, 3,501 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 184,298.
The virus has spread to all the country's 34 provinces.
Specifically, within the past 24 hours, Jakarta recorded 1,236 new cases, West Java 575, East Java 341, Riau 253 and Central Java 228.
No more new positive cases were found in two provinces, namely Jambi and Central Kalimantan. Enditem
