Armenian president visits Chinese embassy to congratulate on China's National Day

YEREVAN, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- There is much potential for deepening the Armenian-Chinese relations in the future, said Armenian President Armen Sarkissian on Wednesday in Yerevan.

Sarkissian visited the Chinese Embassy in Yerevan to congratulate China on the eve of its National Day.

"China should be proud of its achievements. The cooperation between our countries, despite their different sizes, have many commonalities," Sarkissian said, adding that there are numerous directions for the future bilateral cooperation, including agriculture, education and culture.

"Therefore I have a very positive attitude to our future cooperation," he said.

For his part, Tian Erlong, Chinese ambassador to Armenia, spoke highly of the current China-Armenia cooperative relations, stressing that high technology can be one of the most prospective fields for the cooperation between the two countries. Enditem
