SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- Yosemite National Park in U.S. state of California will reopen to park visitors at 9:00 a.m. Friday with limited visitor services, according to a news release from the National Park Service on Wednesday.

Campsites in Yosemite Valley will also be available for incoming campers beginning on Friday. Some visitor services will be available and other visitor services will open incrementally over the weekend. After its reopening, the park continues to require day-use reservations to enter the park, the news release said.

Yosemite National Park, one of the most visited national parks in the American West, has been closed since Sept. 17 due to smoke impacts and hazardous air quality throughout the park.

The park will continue to monitor air quality conditions, and continue to confer with local and federal public health experts on air quality, smoke impacts, and resulting impacts on public health, the news release said, adding that the park, or portions of the park, may close intermittently due to changes in air quality and smoke impacts.
