MADRID, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- There is little time for respite in La Liga this week with a midweek round of matches as football makes up for lost time due to the coronavirus.

The round of games kicks off with an interesting game in San Sebastian on Tuesday evening when an unbeaten Real Sociedad, fresh from their 3-0 win away to Elche, entertain Valencia.

Valencia started their campaign with an impressive win at home to Levante, but since then have strengthened the idea that the squad needs new signings with a 2-1 defeat away to Celta Vigo and a 1-1 draw at home to newly promoted Huesca on Saturday in which they were outplayed for much of the second half.

Tuesday also sees Getafe at home to Betis, who will be without Emerson following his sending off in their controversial home defeat to Real Madrid at the weekend and Martin Montoya, who has been forced to isolate after a member of his family circle tested positive for COVID-19.

Real Madrid are back in action on Wednesday when Valladolid visit the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium.

It will be interesting to see the side Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane puts out after making several changes after Saturday's win, with Fede Valverde, Casemiro and Luka Jovic coming into a 4-4-2 formation with a midfield diamond.

Jovic disappointed on Saturday and either Eden Hazard or Marco Asensio could make a return to action after starting the campaign with physical issues, while Tony Kroos is out with a muscle problem and will be replaced by either Isco or Luka Modric.

Luis Suarez scored twice and gave an assist as Atletico kicked off their season in style with a 6-1 thrashing of Granada on Sunday. The former Barca striker will probably start on the bench again as Atletico (who will again be without Jose Gimenez, who has the coronavirus) travel to Huesca.

Villarreal were very disappointing as they lost 4-0 away to Barcelona on Sunday night in a game that was over by halftime. Coach Unai Emery will expect better at home to Deportivo Alaves, who have so far taken just one point from their first three games under new coach Pablo Machin.

Take Kubo could start for Emery's side after impressing as a substitute on Sunday night.

Eibar are another side with just one point from their first three games of the season and Jose Luis Mendilibar's men will look for their first win when they take on Elche, whose first match back in the top-flight saw them brushed aside by Real Sociedad on Saturday.

Athletic Club Bilbao's 2-1 win in Eibar at the weekend will have done much to raise morale after a summer without signings and they will be favorites to make it two wins from two at home to Cadiz, who have lost both of their home games since returning to the top-flight.

Sevilla entertain Levante with both sides in high spirits after solid away wins at the weekend and the round of matches ends with FC Barcelona visiting Celta.

Iago Aspas has started the season in excellent form for Celta and will be their main threat, while Ronald Koeman will be pleased with his La Liga debut at Barca.

The Dutch coach has few options to chance his side in defense and fitness permitting, and will probably repeat the team that bet Villarreal with players such as Francisco Trincao, Pedri and Miralem Pjanic waiting their turn on the bench. Enditem
