BANGKOK, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Bangkok is transforming the landscape of one of its canals so that it will become a tourist attraction in the inner part of the Thai capital.

Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang on Wednesday launched the project covering both sides of the Chong Nonsi canal passing three inner districts of Bangkok, namely Yan Nawa, Sathorn and Bang Rak.

A total of 250 officials and workers of the city's department of drainage and sewerage are working for the project on the 4.2-km-long canal, including improving canalside walkways to suit the convenience of pedestrians and tourists. Enditem
