BEIJING, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Newly-promoted Suzhou Dongwu pocketed its first win in Chinese football's second-tier League One after beating Taizhou Yuanda 2-1 on Thursday.
Suzhou, who had scored only three goals in their previous five matches, took an early lead as Li Zhi converted a penalty in the 16th minute.
Taizhou equalized at the beginning of the second half as Zhang Yang netted in the 52nd minute.
Ten minutes before the final whistle, Chris Shimbayev fired home after a long run to give Suzhou the three points.
In the day's other two matches, Kunshan FC was held 1-1 by Sichuan Youbixuan, and Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic beat Jiangxi Liansheng 1-0. Enditem
