China's proven gold reserves about 14,131 tonnes in 2019

BEIJING, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- China's proven gold reserves were 14,131.06 tonnes at the end of 2019, according to a yearbook issued by China Gold Association (CGA).

The figure shows a rise of 3.61 percent compared to 2018, the CGA said in the 2020 yearbook on China's gold industry, adding that the country has maintained steady year-on-year growth in proven gold reserves since 2012.

Output of gold in the country dipped 5.21 percent year on year to 380.23 tonnes in 2019, the highest in the world for the 13th year, the annual report showed.

The yearbook summarized the development and future trend of China's gold industry, covering the entire industry chain including gold exploration, mining, processing and investment. Enditem
