XI'AN, China, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- The "2020 WE ARE ONE" ice art show was staged at the Xi'an Olympic Sports Center on Tuesday evening, with China's top figure skaters Pang Qing and Tong Jian delivering a stunning performance to celebrate the newly converted center.

The evening featured 20 performances. Tong Jian told reporters that 26 athletes took part in the event, which was the largest performance their team had participated in. Several movie stars and celebrities were in attendance to get a first glimpse of the festivities.

The Xi'an Olympic Sports Center has a total area of more than 107,000 square meters, including 18,000 seats and an ice rink of 1,800 square meters. It will be one of the main venues for next year's 14th National Games in Shaanxi Province.

The center not only has an ice rink which can be transformed into a basketball and volleyball court, but is also a 5G smart stadium built in accordance with international standards. It has an advanced 4K screen above the floor, which is comparable to an NBA arena. The stadium is fully covered by 5G and is VR compatible. Enditem
