Chinese researcher wins int'l award for landscape architecture

BEIJING, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese researcher Yu Kongjian has won the Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Award, an international prize to recognize outstanding landscape architects.

Yu, a professor at China's prestigious Peking University, has led his team to design more than 500 landscape architecture projects in more than 200 cities in the world.

The prize, established in 2004 by the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA), is recognized as the highest honor in the field of landscape architecture in the world.

The IFLA, founded in 1948 and headquartered in France, is the highest international academic organization in the field of landscape architecture industry under the guidance of UNESCO. Enditem
