Xiong Yonglan, who is now a manager at the youth palace of Bao'an District in Shenzhen, has been striving for a better life in the city since the moment she stepped into the city. In 1992, 18-year-old Xiong Yonglan came to the Shenzhen branch of Mabuchi Motor and worked on the assembly line. Soon, with her outstanding performance on the job, Xiong became a full-time quality inspector. In her spare time, she studied computer courses and this helped her become an office clerk. She also improved her professional ability through correspondence courses in areas such as public relations, secretary and stenography. In 2004, Xiong Yonglan, who performed well in all aspects, was transferred to the logistics service unit of the company to take a management post. In 2007, She was entrusted with the task of managing the accommodation and logistics service for nearly 20,000 employees in the company's five living areas. Xiong Yonglan is a lively and outgoing person, who is always ready to help others. She joined the Communist Youth League Committee of the Shenzhen Baoheng Labor Services Co., Ltd. in 1994 and its volunteer organization in 1996. In Bao'an District of Shenzhen, she was one of the first batch of cadres in the first community youth league organization, and one of the first batch of volunteers in the first community volunteer service center. Led by her, the number of volunteers in the company's volunteer organization grew from two hundreds to a thousand, and the youth league committee and related organizations she was in were lauded as a national excellent youth center by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China. Xiong yonglan was awarded as a national outstanding migrant worker in 2007. The next year, she was elected as a delegate to the 10th National Congress of Chinese Women. She was awarded as a national female role model by the All-China Women's Federation in 2011. And in 2012, she was elected as a delegate to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In the 28 years since she came to Shenzhen from Hainan, Xiong Yonglan has grown from a grassroot worker to an excellent manager and social participant, and has led and influenced a large number of people who are participating in the construction of the city.
