TOKYO, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened marginally higher Tuesday as investor sentiment was lifted by rises on Wall Street overnight.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average edged up 32.99 points, or 0.14 percent, from Monday to 23,591.68.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 3.29 points, or 0.20 percent, at 1,646.64.
Insurance, real estate and metal product-oriented issues comprised those that gained the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell. Enditem
