KABUL, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- A total of 58 new COVID-19 positive cases have been registered over the past 24 hours in Afghanistan, bringing the total number of the disease to 39,928 in the country, the Ministry of Public Health said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement, one patient died due to the disease over the period bringing the number of COVID-19 related deaths to 1,480 since the outbreak of the disease in February in the country.
A total of 190 patients have recovered over the past 24 hours, totaling the number of recoveries to 33,308, the statement added. Enditem
