CHENGDU, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Xinjiang dominated wire-to-wire to power past Daqing 111-52 despite its player rotation in the Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) league here on Tuesday.

Due to a big gap separating the two sides, Xinjiang rested its star backcourt duo of Wang Siyu and Wang Lili, and gave quite a few minutes to starters such as Han Xu and Wu Di.

Chen Mingling posted a double-double of 26 points and 14 boards, while Zhu Meiqi helped with 17. Han finished with eight points and six rebounds in seven minutes of play.

"We gave more chances to young players, and they did well today," Xinjiang coach Gao Fengjuan noted.

But Xinjiang still had an easy job to do with a 10-0 run for an 11-point lead in the opening quarter.

Coming off late in the first quarter, Xinjiang's bench players showed their vitality on both ends, kicking off the second quarter with a 14-0 run. Li Yangzhi's three-point play ended Daqing's scoring drought for over four minutes.

Then Xinjiang kept rolling, outscoring Daqing 35-7 during the 10-minute spell to go up by 39 points at the interval, making the second half a routine work for Xinjiang before the final whistle.

Li led Daqing with 15 points. Cao Yuanjing added 12.

"We had a good start, but suffered problems in the second and third quarters. We lost too many rebounds," Daqing coach Ji Yanyan explained. Enditem
