German shares lose 0.91 pct Tuesday

FRANKFURT, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 119.42 points, or 0.91 percent, to close at 13,018.99 points.

Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.47 percent, followed by European health care company Fresenius SE and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement, which lost 2.56 percent and 2.12 percent respectively.

Deutsche Post, telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom and personal-care company Beiersdorf were the top three winners, rising 0.41 percent, 0.31 percent and 0.26 percent respectively.

Bayer was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 208.39 million euros (245.63 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 0.49 percent to close at 0.814 euros per share on Tuesday. Enditem
