The first China-Europe freight train linking Hengyang City in central China's Hunan Province and Biklyan in Russia was launched on Thursday. The train was loaded with steel tubes and other industrial products. It will take about 13 days for it to travel 9,463 kilometers to arrive in Biklyan. The same journey needs 60 to 70 days by sea. The new freight train service will cut both transportation time and cost. Hengyang is the 72nd Chinese city that has launched the China-Europe freight train service.
