ISLAMABAD, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani military said on Saturday evening that a soldier was killed and three others injured in firing by terrorists in southwestern Balochistan province.

An army statement said that terrorists carried out a fire raid on a security force patrolling party near Jhaki post, about 35 km southeast of Turbat.

During the fire exchange, a soldier was killed while three soldiers got injured, the statement from the army's media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack. Security forces blame Baloch insurgents for such attacks.

On Thursday, 14 people including seven soldiers and seven personnel of civil security were killed in a terrorist attack in Ormara area of Balochistan province, according to ISPR's statement.

A large number of terrorists attacked a convoy of Frontier Corps (FC) troops and Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), while substantial losses were also incurred to the terrorists during the clash, the statement said.

Baloch Raji Ajoi Sangar (BRAS), an outlawed organization formed with the coalition of several extremist outfits of the province, claimed the attack on their unverified twitter account.

The same outfit killed some 14 personnel of the navy in an attack in the same area in April 2019. Enditem
