BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 60 press officials, journalists, and scholars from China and 10 ASEAN countries exchanged views on deepening the strategic partnership between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) at a media forum held online on Friday.
The 2020 ASEAN-China Media Cooperation Forum was sponsored by the China International Publishing Group and the ASEAN-China Centre.
Against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, the media of China and ASEAN countries should work together to create a good public-opinion environment for regional development and global economic recovery, Guo Weimin, deputy director of the State Council Information Office, said at the opening ceremony of the forum.
He urged the two sides to build a global community of health for all, promote business cooperation, and strengthen media exchanges and cooperation. Enditem
