PARIS, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Lille maintained its unbeaten run in Ligue 1 but a 1-1 draw at Nice on Sunday was not enough for it to regain top spot in the standings.

Elsewhere, slow-starting Lyon moved up to sixth place with a 4-1 home victory over Monaco.

Kasper Dolberg opened the scoring for Nice four minutes into the second half, getting in front of Lille defender Domagoj Bradaric before scoring with a cool finish for his third goal of the season.

Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz levelled for the visitors in the 58th minute thanks to an excellent pass from Luiz Araujo.

Christophe Galtier's side remains unbeaten after eight matches but sits in second place behind defending champion Paris Saint-Germain on goal difference. The two sides have both collected 18 points from eight matches.

Last season's Champions League semifinalist Lyon, who had been struggling so far in the new campaign, played an overwhelming first half against Monaco.

Striker Memphis Depay put Lyon in front after 12 minutes, before Cameroon forward Karl Toko Ekambi added the second in the 34th minute and Houssem Aouar converted a penalty which was also won by Ekambi in the 41st.

The 28-year-old, who scored twice last week at Strasbourg, found the net again before the break to complete a dominating first half for Lyon.

"Toko Ekambi played a huge match," said Lyon coach Rudi Garcia. "Let's hope he keeps it up."

"We led 4-0 at half-time from our four shots on target," the French coach added. "In the first half, Anthony Lopes made at least two great saves that allowed us to reach the break in the lead."

Monaco had over 65 percent possession and coach Niko Kovac said the half-time score flattered Lyon.

"It was a pretty incredible first half," said Kovac. "I have never experienced such a first half before."

Wissam Ben Yedder pulled one back for Monaco through a penalty in the 48th minute.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Boulaye Dia scored a hat-trick to help Stade Reims thrash Montpellier 4-0, and late goals from Bordeaux helped them to a 2-0 home win against Nimes. Enditem
