ACCRA, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Only licensed referees and match commissioners will officiate in any Ghana Football Association (GFA) competition or sanctioned matches in the 2020/21 league season, the association said here on Monday.
According to the FA, referees for competitive or sanctioned matches must have completed and submitted the GFA referees license form, and must have been duly accepted as a licensed referee in the GFA system, including the competition management system (CMS).
"Only licensed referees and match commissioners by the GFA shall officiate in GFA competitions at all levels and any GFA sanctioned or approved match as expected in compliance with FIFA and GFA regulations," the association said in a statement on its official website.
The Ghanaian FA started the licensing process last year which saw referees and referee assistants for the premier league, the division one, and the women's premier league successfully licensed. Enditem
