KIEV, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and eight others injured in an explosion at a gas processing station on Wednesday in northeast Ukraine's Kharkiv region, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has said.
According to the agency, all the injured people have been hospitalized, with two of them in critical condition.
A total of 30 personnel were involved in putting out a subsequent fire which occurred around midday following the explosion.
Investigations into the cause of the blast are underway, with local police opening a case under the article of violation of safety rules. Enditem
