TIRANA, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Albania's Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku has tested positive for COVID-19, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy announced on Thursday via a Facebook post.
According to the ministry, Balluku is in good health, has mild symptoms and has isolated herself at home according to the health protocols.
The ministry urged citizens to respect all measures and protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
On Thursday, during the parliament session, Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu appealed to citizens to respect anti-COVID rules to prevent hospitals from being overloaded.
So far, Albanian health authorities have confirmed a total of 20,040 coronavirus cases, with 10,893 recoveries and 493 fatalities. Enditem
