India, Bangladesh start air bubble travel arrangement amid COVID-19 pandemic

NEW DELHI, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- India and Bangladesh have initiated air travel bubble flights to meet requirements of travellers on both sides during the COVID-19 pandemic, said spokesman of India's external affairs ministry Anurag Srivastava on Thursday.

According to him, the decision to this effect was taken at the 6th meeting of the India-Bangladesh Joint Consultative Commission held on Sept. 29.

The bilateral air bubble between the two neighboring countries has been operationalized with effect from Oct. 28.

"This Air Bubble has been operationalized to cater to travel needs of nationals on both sides," said the spokesman. Enditem
