ZHUJI, China, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Guangzhou Loong Lions beat the Tianjin Pioneers 108-95 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Friday.
The first half saw Guangzhou take a 16-point lead thanks to a good performance from forward Chen Yinjun, who lodged 13 points, five rebounds and nine assists. Dallas Moore also contributed 10 points with two rebounds and five assists in the first two quarters.
Eager to level the scores, Tianjin strengthened its attack and defense, but still remained behind in the second half. Center Marko Todorovic led Tianjin to narrow the gap and outscore its opponents 27-23 in the last quarter, but it was not enough.
Todorovic notched a double-double of 30 points and 16 rebounds, while Guangzhou's Chen won 13 points with seven rebounds and 11 assists to confirm his status as a rising star of his team. Enditem
