BEIJING, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- War film "The Sacrifice" led the daily box office chart of the Chinese mainland on Tuesday, generating more than 10.2 million yuan (about 1.54 million U.S. dollars).

This brought the film's total box office revenue since its Oct. 23 release to around 908 million yuan, the China Movie Data Information Network said Wednesday.

Set in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953), the film is co-directed by Guan Hu, the director of this year's blockbuster war epic "The Eight Hundred."

The American superhero film "Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen" ranked second, grossing about 8.19 million yuan on the second day of its screening.

Coming in third was "My People, My Homeland," which raked in about 3.35 million yuan Tuesday, with its total box office revenue topping 2.75 billion yuan. Enditem
