HONG KONG, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- The following are the latest developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in Asia-Pacific countries on Friday:
DHAKA -- Bangladesh reported 1,767 new COVID-19 cases and 19 new deaths, making the tally at 428,965 and death toll at 6,159, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
The official data showed that 13,539 samples were tested in the last 24 hours across Bangladesh.
The total number of recovered patients in the country stood at 346,387 including 1,519 new recoveries on Friday, said the DGHS.

KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia reported 1,304 new COVID-19 infections, the Health Ministry said, bringing the national total to 45,095.
Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah told a press briefing that four of the new cases are imported and 1,300 are local transmissions.
One more death has been reported, bringing the death toll to 304.

JAKARTA -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 5,444 within one day to 457,735, with the death toll adding by 104 to 15,037, the Health Ministry said.
According to the ministry, 3,010 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 385,094.
Three more Indonesian overseas have tested positive for the COVID-19, bringing the total cases to 1,867, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Friday.

KABUL -- The Afghan Ministry of Public Health confirmed 174 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of patients in the country to 42,969, including 6,338 active cases.
Four patients died within the period, taking the death toll to 1,595 since February, the statement added.
Twelve new recoveries were recorded since early Thursday.

MANILA -- The Philippines' Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,902 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection, bringing the total number in the country to 404,713.
The DOH said 506 more patients in the Philippines recovered, raising the total number of recoveries to 362,903. The death toll climbed to 7,752 after 31 more patients died from the viral disease, the DOH added.

NEW DELHI -- India's COVID-19 tally reached 8,728,795 as 44,879 new cases were registered across the country in the past 24 hours, said the latest data released by the health ministry.
With 547 deaths since Thursday morning, the death toll in the country due to the pandemic reached 128,668, showed the ministry's data.
Still there are 484,547 active COVID-19 cases in the country, while 8,115,580 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals so far.

WELLINGTON -- New Zealand reported four new cases of COVID-19, all in managed isolation and none in the community.
One case involves a recent arrival and three are classified as historical, according to the Ministry of Health.
Four previously reported cases have now recovered, meaning New Zealand's total number of active cases remains at 53, and the country's total number of confirmed cases is now 1,639, according to the ministry.

SEOUL -- South Korea reported 191 more cases of COVID-19 as of midnight Thursday local time compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 28,133.
The daily caseload hovered above 100 for the sixth consecutive day due to small cluster infections in Seoul and its surrounding Gyeonggi province as well as imported cases.
One more death was confirmed, leaving the death toll at 488. The total fatality rate stood at 1.73 percent.■
