KIEV, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said the government's decision to tighten quarantine measures on weekends is not negotiable and should be implemented throughout the country, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine reported on Friday.

"The city mayors do not have the authority to allow or prohibit the government's decisions... Government's decisions are unconditional and should be obeyed by all business entities located on the territory of Ukraine. If this is a shopping and entertainment center, then it should be closed during the weekend," said Shmyhal.

Shmyhal also instructed the heads of regional administrations to coordinate the work of the local police and the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection to inspect business entities.

On Nov. 11, Ukraine decided to introduce a weekend quarantine in the country from Nov. 14 to Nov. 30.

Under the weekend quarantine, mass events with over 20 people, beauty salons, shopping and entertainment facilities will be prohibited from operation on weekends in Ukraine. Enditem
