BRATISLAVA, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Slovak Basketball Association has decided to pause the 2020-21 season of the country's top-tier basketball league until November 20 due to the COVID-19 situation in the country.
The pause will be extended as the national team will host Group B matches of the 2023 World Championships pre-qualifiers.
"We all acknowledge the seriousness of the situation and seeing that the Slovak national team is facing important match-ups. We have decided to postpone all the SBL fixtures up until the pre-qualifiers," explained Slovak Basketball League director Peter Micuda.
The Slovak Basketball League will restart on December 2. New dates for all the postponed fixtures have not yet been determined. Enditem
