Brunei reports no new COVID-19 cases for 26 straight days

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- Brunei reported no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday with the national tally remaining at 148.

It marked the 26th consecutive day without new cases since Oct. 22 when the country recorded an imported case from Kuala Lumpur.

According to Brunei's Ministry of Health, there is no active case being treated at the National Isolation Center. The total number of recovered cases remained at 145.

Meanwhile, currently there are 489 people in mandatory isolation at the monitoring centers provided by the government. They are all returned overseas travellers.

There have so far been three deaths from the coronavirus epidemic in Brunei. Enditem
