BEIJING, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- China has honored 42 cities at prefecture level and above for their outstanding performance in advancing cultural and ethical progress, the country's cultural authority said Friday.
The cities include Kunming in southwest China's Yunnan Province, Lanzhou in northwestern Gansu Province and Shiyan in central Hubei Province, according to a decision by the Central Commission for Guiding Cultural and Ethical Progress.
A number of urban districts, villages and towns, companies, families, schools and individuals have also been honored in this regard.
A ceremony was held Friday in Beijing to award representative honorees for their contributions to cultural and ethical progress. Enditem
