SANTIAGO, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chilean journalist Andrea Navarro and designer Pablo Ruiz's scientific work that seeks to inform children about climate change -- "The Great Book of Climate Change" -- will soon be published in Chinese.
The book presents up-to-date scientific information on the main effects of climate change worldwide, raising kids' awareness through illustrated stories adapted from scientific reports.
Navarro explained that the idea of writing their book came about after realizing that "there was little material oriented towards girls and boys about climate change."
"Most of the information available is in English and in technical language," and there are few works in Spanish on the subject directed at the younger generation, she said.
"Working on this book has been very interesting and has meant great internal satisfaction," said illustrator Ruiz, adding that as a father, he felt his mission is to show his children the world without covering up anything.
"The Great Book of Climate Change" has been launched in Chile, and China's Publishing House of Electronics Industry has recently bought the rights to publish it in Chinese. Enditem
