BEIJING, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Football Association (CFA) paid tribute to Argentinian football legend Diego Maradona, who died of a heart attack at his home near Buenos Aires on Wednesday at the age of 60.
"As the best player of the 20th century and a FIFA World Cup winner, Maradona has made great contributions to football and brought Chinese fans indelible and fond memories," the CFA wrote.
"The death of Maradona is a great sadness for all who love football."

Maradona, who is considered one of the greatest footballers of all time, captained Argentina's 1986 FIFA World Cup-winning team. His second goal in that year's quarterfinal against England has gone down as one of the finest in the history of the World Cup. Enditem
