JAKARTA, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia started to conduct polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests on 28,000 prisoners from Thursday to Dec. 2 to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic in capital Jakarta, according to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights on Thursday.
"In facing the COVID-19 pandemic, we are like in a 'World War with an Invisible Enemy.' We need to collaborate and work together to solve this problem," Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly said.
The ministry provided 34,036 test kits consisting of 28,133 for prisoners, 3,084 for wardens in Jakarta, and 2,819 others for employees of the ministry. Enditem
