HOHHOT, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Inner Mongolia Mount Moni horse racing has opened in Bayannur City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
More than 100 Mongolian horses and crossbred horses competed in speed racing and pace racing.
Liu Jiayun, a sports official in Wulate Front Banner, Saturday said the competition is an important part of the 7th Inner Mongolia International Equestrian Festival, aiming at inheriting horse culture and promoting the high-quality development of horse culture industry.
"We plan to hold the Mount Moni horse racing every year, and to promote the city's economic development and popularity through the game," Liu said. Enditem
