The naan is a type of flatbread and a staple food of ethnic groups in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It has become an export good and increased incomes for locals in the region. The Kashgar Naan Cultural and Industrial Park was established in May 2020. The facility, covering an area of more than 10,000 square meters, has created jobs for more than 2,000 local people. Visitors can enjoy hands-on experience of naan-making, from preparing the dough, rolling it out, to baking it. The industrial park has also actively expanded its export business and ventured into e-commerce. Customers can place orders online, with dozens of kinds of naan available. The business's total volume of online and offline orders can reach up to 500,000 per day.
