Malaysia reports 1,075 new COVID-19 cases, 11 new deaths

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia reported 1,075 new COVID-19 infections, the Health Ministry said on Thursday, bringing the national total to 69,095.

Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a press statement that three of the new cases are imported and 1,072 are local transmissions.

Another 11 deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 376.

A total of 948 patients have been released after recovery, bringing the total cured and discharged to 57,917, or 83.8 percent of all cases.

Of the remaining 10,802 active cases, 116 are being held in intensive care and 46 of those are in need of assisted breathing. Enditem
