Qingdao Eagles outscore Tianjing Pioneers for 1st win in CBA second phase

ZHUJI, China, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Qingdao Eagles outscored the Tianjin Pioneers 113-105 for the first victory in the second phase of the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association league on Friday.

The first half saw Qingdao take a 12-point lead, thanks to Vladimir Stimac's 16 points and seven assists, while Liu Chuanxing added 12, and Lin Weihan finished with 10.

After scoring 25 points for his team in the first half, Marko Todorovic tried his best to help Tianjin take the initiative back and outscored Qingdao 34-30 in the thrid quarter, narrowing the gap down to eight points.

In the last quarter, both sides scored 18 points to remain the 8-point difference to the end.

Adams notched a double-double with a game-high 39 points and 11 assists for Qingdao, while Marko paced Tianjin with 36 points and 12 rebounds. The 21-year-old Lin Tingqian rose as a new star in Tianjin with 28 points and six assists. Enditem
