ROME, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- The highly-anticipated "Inzaghi Derby" in Serie A ended in a 1-1 draw on Tuesday, as Filippo Inzaghi's Benevento held a Lazio side managed by his younger brother Simone.

It was the second clash between the two brothers on the touchline, after Lazio had beaten Filippo's Bologna 2-0 in 2018.

The Biancocelesti broke the deadlock in the 25th minute in spectacular style, when Sergej Milinkovic-Savic whipped in a cross from the left and Ciro Immobile got in front of his marker to hit in a first-time volley into the net.

The away side scored the leveler before the interval, as a corner was nodded for Pasquale Schiattarella to smash in a volley after bouncing off the inside of the post.

Lazio had a strong penalty appeal in the 70th minute when Joaquin Correa's pass struck Gaetano Letizia's hand, but the referee waved play on.

Benevento went down to 10 men in stoppage time as Schiattarella saw a straight red card after an awful tackle on Correa.

In Tuesday's earlier kick-off, Udinese and Crotone played out a 0-0 draw. Enditem
