BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- He Ping, president and editor-in-chief of Xinhua News Agency, on Wednesday called on think tanks and the media of China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) to deepen exchanges and cooperation in promoting China-ROK relations.

He made the remarks while addressing a dialogue between think tanks and the media of the two countries via video links.

Hailing the remarkable progress the two sides have made in cooperation in recent years, He stressed that think tanks and the media should jointly promote the momentum of peaceful development, pave the way for people-to-people understanding, and consolidate the foundation of bilateral friendship.

In the face of changes in the world and media structures, think tanks and the media of the two countries should consistently push forward the China-ROK relationship and deepen the Belt and Road construction, He said.

Representatives from more than 20 think tanks and media groups participated in the on-line dialogue co-organized by Xinhua and the Korea Belt and Road Institute. Enditem
